Avient Showcases High Performance and Sustainable Fiber Colorants and Additives at Yarn Expo Autumn

SHANGHAI – August 27, 2024 – Avient Corporation, a premier provider of specialized and sustainable materials solutions and services, will showcase its extensive portfolio of synthetic fiber colorants and functional additives for the textile industry at Yarn Expo Autumn, one of Asia’s leading yarn and fiber trade fairs in Shanghai, August 27th through 29th.

At this show, Avient will feature colorants and additives to enhance product performance and sustainability and highlight industry certifications and collaborations, including:

• Cesa™ Fiber Additives: including Non-Halogen Flame Retardant and Heat Preservation Solutions, offer long-term flame retardancy at low dosages to make fibers more resistant to ignition and control flame propagation, smoke, and heat generation without impacting color. Solutions for heat preservation can absorb more heat when exposed to solar rays or transfer human energy radiation into heat. These additives can also meet consumers’ increasing demand for functional outdoor clothing that is warm while remaining lightweight, even in extremely cold weather. They can also help fiber manufacturers meet key regulatory requirements by EN, DIN, UNI, and others.
• Eco Pure® Biodegradation Accelerator: an additive that accelerates the natural biodegradation of commodity types of plastic to meet the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and European Union (EU) Food Contact Safety Regulations. It is specially formulated for polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and Nylon. 
• Avient and Coloro Collaboration: offers more than 400 Coloro colors as standard colorants for spin-dyeing (dope-dyeing) fibers. Avient and Coloro are working together to explore more solutions and applications in the textile industry to help brands reduce waste and emissions while providing more sustainable color choices.
• Avient Sustainable Fiber Additives: include bluesign® SYSYEM PARTNER colorants and recycled fiber solutions with Global Recycle Standard (GRS) certifications, and biodegradable fiber solutions with EN13432 certifications. Avient can also provide a wide range of functional additives such as ultraviolet (UV) stabilization, antistatic performance, flame retardancy, antimicrobial effectiveness, fiber tracer concentrates, heat preservation, cool-feeling additives, and more.  
• Avient Taoyuan site is recognized as bluesign® SYSTEM PARTNER: a well-known accreditation that certifies increased sustainable chemistry and high product safety in the textile industry. It provides the ZDHC MRSL level 3 for Avient fiber color and additive solutions. 
• GRS 4.0 Standard Certification: is an international, voluntary, full-product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions. The GRS-certified color and additive solutions from Avient contain a required percentage of pre-consumer or post-consumer recycled polyester primarily from recycled PET, Nylon, PP, PE, and other resin bases that aim to save on energy and water use during the spin-dyeing (dope-dyeing) process. 

Avient will exhibit at Hall 8.2, Stand A137, at Yarn Expo Autumn in the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from August 27th to 29th, 2024.
